Devastated by the mysterious loss of his husband, young alchemist Kace faces massive grief. The idea sprouts in his skull that he could work some magic to subvert death and reunite with his beloved Miguel.

Kace seeks help with his “Bardo Project” by writing letters to his many friends who include Edgar Allan Poe, the Goddess Kali, Oscar Wilde, David Foster Wallace, Frida Kahlo, Susan Sontag, Walt Whitman, William S. Burroughs, and even his beloved beagle.
